We’ve been writing about diapers, daycare, and even dishwashing liquid for the last year and a half–now what? What posts have you enjoyed the most? What kinds of articles do you like reading here on the Green Baby Guide? Are there any topics we haven’t explored that you’re just dying to hear us talk about? Let us know!

Let’s talk more about food! Eating healthily and cheaply! I feel that we have such a problem with health issues and obesity and things like that in this country but we set ourselves up for it by making the unhealthy food the stuff that people can afford! I am working so hard to make my family’s diet healthier within our budget and this has been hard as I have been buying so much more fruits and veggies now that Baby Girl is eating table food. Maybe meals that work for everyone from toddler to adult…. I’m thinking as I type….this is definitely a green thing as most of the healthy stuff doesn’t come in any (or very little) packaging… I know you’ve talked about this some, but how about a series… or maybe you’ve done that already…. if so let me know where to go in the archives!!!
This is a really specific question…but here goes:
I know air fresheners from a can are very bad. Now there are all these oils and reed combination. I’ve been using them, but part of me worries that they aren’t great either. I’ve tried making my own room sprays with essential oils, but they didn’t work well and or stained things. So how about a smells good article?
*you can disregard the former post!*
This might sound silly, but I wonder how often I should bathe my baby! She’s 3 months old and I’ve read everything from no bathing to daily bathing at this age. We take baths together to save water and time but I’m also curious if we can share products (I know even if the soap is organic and sodium laurel sulfate free it might not be best for baby).
I REALLY, REALLY appreciate your articles that provide ideas to minimize and reduce consumption. Anything that involves multiple uses and/or less waste (and you’ve covered a lot of ground already!) has been both informative and inspiring. Thanks guys!
Food is good, we love food – and being cheap…
recipes, ideas for food sharing (buying bulk and splitting it with friends/family as well as making multiple meals and trading maybe).
I’d love to hear some ideas and/or thoughts on the idea of “it takes a village” – not having family around, we have a hard time without a strong support system.
The sock dress post the other day was super cute, I’m big on making things from other things… creative ways to re-use are fun.
Thanks for these suggestions! I need to go on a post-writing spree, and now I have some inspiration. Now that my daughter is three years old and completely out of diapers, it’s been harder for me to come up with “green baby” ideas for this site. So keep them coming!
