Diaper launderer, baby food chef, milk producer, house cleaner, nose wiper, and bath giver. As parents, our work is never done and it often seems as though there is no time to refresh our energy reserves. Still, I notice that when I do take time to soak in a bubble bath or journal in silence, I am so much more effective as a mom. How do you take care of yourself? Do you have trouble finding a moment to relax? You’re in luck!

Oh that looks so awesome. I am checking out there site now!!!
Great giveaway! I could always use help relaxing. My favorite way to relax is to work on a hobby project. Sewing, gardening or reading (with out the kids at my feet).
With a chai latte! Oh and some quiet time.
I love a nice warm bath or a hard run to keep me relaxed!
I like to relax by working in my garden. Barring that (because, you know, it’s March and there’s still snow – oh, and I’m about 8.2 million months pregnant) I love to read a good book.
At night if I have time I take a bath and read a book with some soft music. During the day if I start to go a little crazy I give the kid to my husband and do a 10 minute yoga practice.
Those shower tablets look heavenly.
i like to go to the gym and walk or run on the treadmill, and listen to loud workout music on my ipod. if i can’t do that, i like to stroll around the neighborhood with my baby in the stroller. baths are lovely, when i get a chance i like to soak in a nice really hot tub.
A long hot bubble bath with a book is at the top of my list; also watching a DVD that doesn’t feature cars or cartoon characters.
When I went back to work I joked that I was going to work to relax but it’s true. It’s relaxing to sit at a desk, use a different part of my brain than I do at home (I’m an editor), and of course goof off on the web (which I can’t do when my 3 year old is around as he commandeers it to watch alphabet videos on YouTube).
My favorite way to relax is by drinking some iced coffee and just breathing. It’s amazing how it feels to actually breathe!
Taking the dog for a walk always relaxes me. It’s even better if my husband comes with us. Even if we don’t talk and just enjoy the silence and watching the dog play. The walking is just very calming.
I love bubble baths, and in theory they are one of my favorite way to wind down, but in reality, there are three pairs of eyes staring at me before i am ready to get out. My second favorite way to relax is to take a SOLITARY snowshoe trek for a half-hour or hour.
I am also a bubble bath fiend
Some chocolates and a book don’t hurt, either!
Golf. Ha, i would give these to my wife.
I put my kids to be between 7 and 7:30! That way I can enjoy some ME time! I put an end to housework at this time and sit back with a glass of wine and my laptop! It gives me a few hours of down time before bed.
I also take ZUMBA! It has to be one of the best stress relievers out there. Really!
I love cuddling up and watching a movie, or even just spending a morning catching up on blogs and e-mails with a cup of coffee!
While my kids have daddy time, I grab a latte and browse the bookstore… where I work. My fast-paced shifts on the floor helping people with their to-read lists leave me little time to browse the shelves for books to add to MY to-read list.
If I’m doubly blessed, I’ll get to read the books I’ve chosen, without children climbing on me.
I schedule a massage once a month. That’s my me-time! This prize seems great for relaxation, too. Sign me up!
Drinking a hot tea while sitting still in my chair. I just inhale the hot steam from the tea and sip it…totally relaxing!
Warm bath and lavender essential oil!
I love taking baths made with calendula tea – this is not just relaxing, but also treats my eczema! I follow up with Pangea Organics Massage & Body Oil, and I feel like a new woman!
Oh, and I DEFINITELY want to win!
Relaxing? We are supposed to do that? Haha. That is something my husband always tells me I don’t do enough of….take time for myself. I love to read, write, drink herbal tea. Just to name a few, though I’m sure with practice I could come up with other things I don’t know I like to do…
I relax by sitting down and watching TV. It is relaxing for me. I like to crochet while I am watching.
