Smoothie Time!

Smoothie Time!

By now you might have gathered that glass is my favorite reusable container material.  Especially with the news about BPA-Free plastics, I’m trying to use glass as much as possible.  My quest just got a little easier now that I’ve discovered Cuppow canning jar drinking lids.

I was looking for an easier way to give Franci her smoothies when I came across this new product. Since smoothies are too thick to drink through a sippy cup, I started using reusable straws (I like the glass ones best, but metal is a bit more practical). This was better than trying to spoon the smoothie into her mouth, but it was still a little messy. That’s when I turned to the internet and discovered Cuppow canning jar drinking lids.

We have our spoons at the ready, since that was the one thing Franci’s dad registered for when we had a baby shower.  I don’t think we’re going to buy any plastic plates or bowls at this point, which we might regret.  Our kitchen floor is linoleum so everything seems to bounce off it instead of break.
